BARBARA MADELONI: See Something, Say Something-Organize!

“To exist, humanly, is to name the world, to change it.” Paulo Freire

In a world of double speak, hijacked language, and simple lies, we reclaim our humanity and power when we refuse the dominant narrative and name our world. Turning the surveillance state’s meme ‘see something, say something’ on itself, this column aims to speak from lived experience, from attentive and openhearted humanity, from love, and from anguish about the dangers of the assault on the public good, and toward the possibilities for resistance- organizing, solidarity,  transformation, and liberation.

Barbara is also fighting the good fight against corporate education reform at Can’t Be Neutral.
