About @TCF

Starting small in the very early days of 2010, At the Chalk Face has expanded to include a host of new authors/commentators, a broad social media presence, and, most importantly, a weekly radio show on Blog Talk Radio. We endeavor to establish an alternative space to discuss education reform from an entirely progressive perspective. But more importantly, we are all educators, so we know what we’re talking about.

No one receives any money for what is written or said here. So, what we write and say derives from our passions and extensive classroom experiences. We are on the sides of teachers, their professional and labor organizations, students, parents, and community members. There is no corporate agenda or market-ideologies.

Consider yourself warned. You’re At the Chalk Face.

Comments

  1. I’ll take a look. At the very least, we’re always open to guest posts.

  2. I noticed you didn’t have any authors from Texas, home to Rod Paige and the “Texas miracle”, Ground Zero for testing insanity. Feel free to go to “Houston ISD Confidential: My Ten Years on the Front Lines of Education Reform” Facebook page and see if any of those essays grab you. Would love to have Texas on your map!
