To be clear: Garfield voted to “opt out” of MAP testing, but not Washington’s summative high stakes test, the HSPE’s. MAP tests are a commercial assessment student take during the year to supposedly give teachers a way to anticipate difficulties the students might have on the high-stakes test later. Is this correct?
